Salford Family Information Service (FIS) provides free, impartial, information and advice on services for children and young people from 0 to 19 and their families in Salford.

- Find childcare to suit your needs with our database of registered childcare, which is updated daily direct from Ofsted records
- Find your nearest Sure Start Children's Centre
- Get advice on help to pay for childcare such as Working Families Tax Credits and childcare vouchers
- Access free early education for some two year olds and all three and four year olds with up to 15 hours of provision per week
- Find out-of-school activities to help children pursue their interests and stay active outside school hours and during holidays
- Get specialist help and support when you need it, including services for disabled children, parenting courses, family support, healthy living and signposting to other organisations
- Start a career working with children, find out what career choices there are, and how we can support you with your training and taster sessions
