The Salford Service Information Directory collects information about the policies and procedures
service providers have in place. The questions we ask are enclosed in the below document.
Questions for organisations providing services (Word 39.5 KB)
These policies and procedures are considered good practice. Only organisations which state
that they meet the policies and procedures relevant for their organisation's services may
publicise their organisation and/or the services they provide on the directory. Spot checks will
be carried out on organisations. Spot checks will consist of organisations sending copies of
relevant policies and procedures. We DO NOT inspect or accredit providers.
Whilst we have tried to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information contained in the
documents stored, served and accessed by this web site, this information should not be relied
upon as a substitute for formal advice from the people who supplied it to us. Please see our
disclaimer for more information. If you find that any of the information around services
shown on our pages is inaccurate or you feel that information should be removed please

PLEASE NOTE: Parents and guardians accept full responsibility for their
child's safety when acting on information contained within this site. Before attending an
activity or event you should check that you are satisfied with both the organisation, service
provider and the activity. We strongly recommend that you ask some of the questions enclosed
in the document above around affiliation, accreditation, Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) checks,
child protection policies, general safety standards, insurance cover as well as wider questions
such as what type of training do staff/volunteers receive, are there enough staff/volunteers to
run the activity, and who runs the group
This policy might change occasionally so please check this statement from time to time. We
welcome feedback from anyone using wuu2. You can contact us by emailing:
